After the hospital stabilised me and Mr Samir secured temporary Egyptian identification, the extraction phase began.
Security personnel escorted me from the Sinai facility toward Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport, a journey that felt like crossing out of one world and into another.

The car ride was silent — a desert road surrounded by mountains, checkpoints, and the sense that danger still lingered somewhere behind me.
