BACK TO THAILAND — KHAO LAK 2016

Reflection After Relocation

Limited Edition Acrylic Wall Art

This work documents Thailand, 2016, captured in Khao Lak during a deliberate pause following relocation away from earlier high-risk environments.

The image records a moment of stillness rather than action — seated, visible, unhidden. The ordinariness is intentional. After prolonged periods of movement and uncertainty, the ability to stop, reflect, and choose the next direction becomes the subject itself.

Taken twelve years after an earlier defining event in the same region, this photograph carries layered meaning through return, distance, and perspective. It does not depict an incident. It marks the space between decisions — a calm interval before departure.

This piece is symbolic.
Its significance lies in restraint.
