By A1-Who Dares Wins

STRAIGHT OFF THE TRAIN VIA KENYA — BARMOUTH 2015

SAS SHOCK · AWE · DEVASTATION (A–B–C)

Limited Edition Acrylic Wall Art

This work documents June 2015, capturing the immediate return to Barmouth following international movement earlier that year.

The title Shock · Awe · Devastation refers to the psychological compression that occurs when external distance collapses and unresolved environments are re-entered without transition. Arrival was not gradual. It was immediate, exposed, and demanding.

This period involved high visibility, social pressure, and heightened awareness within a familiar setting — a convergence of attention, proximity, and decision-making. The image does not depict events directly; it preserves the state of being inside them.

The work reflects a moment where movement stopped and containment resumed, requiring restraint, observation, and control rather than reaction.

This is not commentary.
It is documentation of proximity.
