THE MOMENT
This photograph was taken during an active survival and assessment phase.
In November 2024, I left the Death Flat and travelled into London and the South-East of England to test a single question:
Did I need to leave the UK — or could I remain?
This was not a visit.
It was not retrospective documentation.
I was managing my own survival in real time.
The image clearly captures London and the Thames, with the MI6 building visible within the frame.
The calm appearance of the city contrasts deliberately with the reality behind the moment.
At the time this image was taken, I was carrying the full operational and psychological weight of events spanning:
-
UK systems (2001–2025)
-
Barmouth & Gwynedd
-
Shrewsbury
-
Telford & Wrekin
-
South-East England
-
Thailand (2001–2016)
-
Egypt (2014)
-
Kenya (2015)
This image records presence, timing, and resolve — not symbolism.
THE TITLE — “YOU WILL NEVER TAKE MY ‘I’”
The “I” represents:
-
Identity
-
Individual agency
-
Internal sovereignty
This work is not confrontational.
It is declarative.
Despite prolonged pressure across systems and years, the core remained intact.
THE SONG
This artwork is directly connected to an original song written by me, titled:
“You Will Never Take My I”
The song was written to articulate — in sound rather than image — the same truth recorded here visually:
that identity, agency, and internal autonomy were never surrendered.
The photograph and the song are separate works, but they originate from the same period, the same mindset, and the same lived reality.
Together, they form a cross-medium record of that phase.
WHY ACRYLIC
This is evidence-based photographic work, not decorative art.
Acrylic was chosen to:
-
Preserve absolute clarity
-
Permanently fix the moment
-
Remove it from casual reproduction
This is not a print run.
It is a locked historical marker within a 24-year documented timeline.
